15116. William Jenner IV Johnson
William Jenner Johnson IV, 44, was called home to Heaven Thursday
afternoon (Oct. 23, 2003) in the presence of his family at Indian Path
Medical Center after a sudden illness.
Jenner was born in Kingsport and has resided in Gate City and
Kingsport. He was a 1977 graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School. He
was employed as a shop foreman with Universal Machine and Tool. He was
a charter member of The Crossings Golf Club. He loved God, his family
and his friends he made a profession of faith at a very early age and
was baptized and joined Gate City United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa R. (Vance)Johnson; daughter Aleisha
Johnson of the home; parents, William J. "Bill" III, and Lotis
Johnson, Kingsport; brother and his wife, Jeff A. and Mindy Johnson,
Kingsport; paternal grandfather, Dallas Compton, Gate City, Va.;
motherand father-in-law, Bobby Jack and Jo Vance, Kingsport; four
nephews, four nieces and one great nephew; sister-in-law and her
husband, Darla and Fred Cope, Kingsport, and sister-in-law, Regina
Carr, Kingsport; and many very specialfriends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Gate City United
Methodist Church.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday at the church withPastor
Dale Wyrick officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in East Lawn
Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Freddy Dillard, David Cox, Alan Ensor, Mike
Murray, Darrel Gillespie, Lewis Markham, Jeremy Carr, Bo Carr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Bowen, Jerramie Bowen, Steve Price,
Lloyd Baker, Ken Hale, Pat Hilton, Eric Waskowski, David Whaley, Doug
