He wasa veteran of U.S. Army. Preceded in death by paternal

James Michael "Mike" Taylor

Lived at Kingsport, TN in 1996.
KINGSPORT - James Michael Taylor, 54, went tobe with the Lord Monday
morning (Sept. 22, 2003) at Bristol Hospice House.
He was a graduate of Gate City High School (1969) and also a graduate
of Virginia Highlands Community College.
Mr. Taylor was employed at Eastman Chemical Company for over 33 years
in the payroll department. He was on the board of directors of the
United Way and was very active in his community.
Mr. Taylor was a member of Fort Robinson Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Glenda Roach Taylor, of the home; daughter,
Rebecca Taylor and son, John Taylor, bothof Kingsport; father and
mother, Guy Taylor and Ruth Wampler Taylor, Weber City, Va.; sisters,
Sandra Bussell and husband Neal, Kingsport, and Dawn TaylorOwens,
Weber City, Va.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert Roach and
Henrietta Roach, Clinchport, Va.; a special caregiver and friend,
Geoffrey James; and special professional caregivers, Ken Smith M.D.,
Melissa Venoy, FNP,Scott Steffey, FNP and office staff; along with
several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Fort Robinson Baptist
Church.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at the churchwith the Rev.
Jeff Alford officiating.
Music will be provided by Wayne andTheresa Shoemaker and Wayne and
Karen Fortner.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holston
View Cemetery.
Randy Hayes, Jimmy Collins, Denis Smith, Gary Cradic, Sam Roach,
Harold Roach, Keith Roach and DaveStapleton will serve as
pallbearers.
Craig Bussell, Eric Jones, Brandon Stapleton, Curtis Drinnon, Neal
Bussell and Gary Vicars will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fort Robinson Baptist
Church (choir fund), 2012 Fort Robinson Drive, Kingsport, Tenn. 37660
or the Tyria Lane Scholarship Fund, c/o Kim Hutchins, 440 Blakley
Drive, Kingsport, Tenn. 37664.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, is in charge of
arrangements.
