Thomas Andrew "Tommy" Sampson

He lived at Hiltons, VA, and had lived all of his life at Scott Co. He
died in an auto collision on very bad icy roads after a blizzard.

23671. Teddy Douglas "Doug" Pendleton

GATE CITY, Va. - Teddy "Doug" Pendleton Jr., 32, went to be with the
Lord Wednesday (July 9, 2003) athis residence with his family by his
side.
He was born in Sullivan County,on Feb. 13, 1971.
Doug enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to church, and going toUT
football games. Doug was a very special husband, dad, son, brother,
andfriend.
He attended Midway Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Richard and Lovely
Byrd; paternal grandfather, Harold Pendleton; brother-in-law, Tommy
Sampson; aunt, Billie Quillen Hillman; and uncle,James "Jimmy" Byrd,
Sr.
Surviving are his wife, Tina Moore Pendleton, of the home; daughters,
Kayla Marie, Whitney Tamara and Rachel Martina, all of thehome;
parents, Teddy and Carolyn Pendleton, Gate City, Va.; paternal
grandmother: Olene Pendleton, Gate City, Va.; sisters and
brothers-in-law, Teresaand Steve Taylor, Hiltons, Va., and Angie and
Dale Franklin, Weber City, Va.;brother and sister-in-law: Darrin and
Amy Pendleton, Gate City, Va.; specialmother-in-law, Wilma Fields,
Sevierville; several special nieces and nephews; and special friend,
Anthony Henry.
Calling hours are from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home,
Weber City, Va., and anytime at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 12 noon Friday in the funeral home
chapel with the Rev. George Willis and the Rev. Paul Allison
officiating.
Music will be provided by the Midway Quartet.
Burial will be at Holston View Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Hensley, Brandon Hensley, Terry
Spivey, CraigSpivey, Marvin Egan, Chad McConnell, Michael McConnell,
Aaron Edens, DonnieAlley and Ricky Tipton.
Honorary pallbearers are Scott Shelton, Glen Shelton,Glen Taylor, and
Anthony Henry.
