Quesenberry ConstructionCompany of Big Stone Gap, Va. and was
affiliated with Sturgill Funeral Home,Wise, Va. for the last 30
years.
He was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kerry Boggs; parents, Ira and Naomi
Lane Boggs; four brothers; and five sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Collins Boggs, Wise, Va.; two sons,
Ricky Boggs and wife, Pam, Wise, Va., Les Underwood, Coeburn, Va.; six
daughters, Betty Flashing and husband, Joe, Norridge, Ill., Rita Baker
and husband, Buford, Glenda Johnson and husband, Leonard, bothof
Coeburn, Va., Brenda Mullins, Veta Stapleton and husband, Martin,
CarolHubbard and husband, David, all of Wise, Va.; one sister, Eura
Powers, Clintwood, Va.; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and
a host of other relatives and friends.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Sturgill FuneralHome,
Wise, Va.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeralhome chapel
with the Rev. Roger Freeman officiating.
Burial will follow in Smith-Gilliam Cemetery.

COEBURN, Va. - Nora Edith Lane Blackwell Anderson, 94, went to be with
the Lord Tuesday (Sept. 28, 2004)at her residence in Coeburn.
She was born Oct. 7, 1909 in Wise County, Va., tothe late Kenneth
Edward Lane and Martha Melissa Robinson Lane. She was the fifth of 10
children. She resided in Wise County until 1959 when she moved to
Canton, Ohio.
After many years of employment in a hospital setting, she retired from
Mercy Medical Center. She was a member of Louisville Baptist Churchin
Louisville, Ohio. She moved to Coeburn, Va., in 1999 to live with her
daughter, Florence Hilton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in deathby her first
husband, George Blackwell; her second husband, Willis Anderson;a
daughter, Betty Hubbard; two sons, Lloyd and Larry Blackwell; three
sisters, Dosha Strouth, Italy Hubbard and Dora Baker; four brothers,
Fletcher, Earl, Connie and Fred; one grandson, Paul Hilton.
Surviving are five daughters,Imogene Campbell of Louisville, Ohio,
Kitty Meade and her husband, Bernard ofWise, Va., Florence Hilton and
her husband Joseph of Coeburn, Va., JoLynn Price and her husband Tommy
of Midvale, Ohio, and Sharon Conway and her husbandDonald of Canton,
Ohio; one son, Jimmy Blackwell and wife Carole of Waynesburg, Ohio; a
sister, Pauline Bevins of Mineral, Va.; a brother, Troy Lane of
Bristol, Tenn.; 33 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 13
great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Sturgill Funeral
Home in Coeburn, Va.
Services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home
chapel with the Rev. R.J. Rose officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the
Lane-Strouth Cemetery, Pound, Va., with the Rev. Donnie Mullins
officiating.
