CLINCHPORT, Va. - James McKenzie Pope entered into rest Wednesday
(Aug. 22, 2001).
He was the infant son of James Robert Pope and Cordelia Rae Lane,
Clinchport, Va.
He is preceded in death by his maternal great-great-grandmother,
Willie Lee Dishner; and maternal great-grandfather, John Harold
Dishner, Jr.; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Truman Lane.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his grandmother, Ms.
Lana Pope, Yuma, Va.; maternalgrandparents, Teresa and Jack Lane,
Clinchport, Va.; maternal great-grandmother, Doris Dishner, Ft.
Blackmore, Va.; maternal great-great-grandfather, John Harold Dishner,
Sr., Clinchport, Va.; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. andMrs. Fred
Pope, Boozie Creek community; paternal great-grandmother, Ms. Brenda
Shearer, Yuma, Va.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Gate City Funeral
Home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dishner Cemetery,
Natural Tunnel community, with the Rev. Kyle Akers officiating.
Those attending will meet at the cemetery.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
