NORTON, Va. - Landon Robinette, 75, passed away Wednesday (Jan. 16,
2002) at Norton Community Hospital, Norton.
He was a retired coal miner, formerly employed by Buchanan Coal Co.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lewis D. Robinette; and a grandson,
Larry Edward Kern Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Dooley Robinette; two sons, Wayne
Robinette and Preston Robinette, both of Norton; five daughters, Edna
Collins and Cleo Tomlinson, both of Wise, Va., Doris Collins of
Norton,Betty Kern of Ft. Blackmore, Va., and Lucille Persinger of
Silver Springs, Md.; one brother, Hansford Robinette of Coeburn, Va.;
one sister, Fonda Hamm of McCordsville, Ind.; 16 grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren.
Callinghours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday
at Sturgill Funeral Home, Wise, Va.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the
funeral home with the Rev. Clifford Bowman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Wise Cemetery, Wise, Va.

Dooley.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Dooley; daughter and son-in-law,
Roberta and Roger Hyatt, Coeburn, Va.; one brother, T.J. Dooley,
Coeburn, Va.; two sisters, Lillian Ramey, Coeburn, Va., and Mary
Robinette, Norton, Va.;four grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
Calling hours are after4 p.m. today at Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn,
Va.
Services will be conductedat 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home
chapel with the Rev. Joe Brickey officiating.
Burial will follow in Ingle Cemetery in Coeburn, Va.

the Lord Thursday (July 13, 2000) at Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born in the Starnes Bluff section of Scott County on Feb.1,
1904 to the late Melvin and Ava Lawson Dockery. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Summey attended and was a past member of Pine Grove Baptist
Church.
Otherthan her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Richmond Summey;a son, Hobert (Junior) Summey; brothers, Wrightly
Dockery, Leonard (Ben) Dockery, Robert (Bob) Dockery; and two infant
brothers.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Boyd and Peggy Summey, Garnie
and Juanita Summey, all of Ft.Blackmore, Va.; daughter-in-law,
Barbara Summey, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; sisters, Eve Summey, Ruth Booher,
Clyde McNutt Dingus, all of Kingsport; brother, Carl Dockery, Ft.
Blackmore, Va.; granddaughters and husbands, Carol and RonaldTrent,
Pansy and Jeff Wilson, Lorene and Victor Finch, D`Lynn and Jerry
Lawson, Sherry and Roger Greene; grandsons and wives, Danny and Patty

Weber City, Va., and anytime atthe residence of a son, Garnie Summey.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pine Grove Baptist
Church with the Rev. Gene Jennings and the Rev. Albert Poole
officiating. Music will be conducted by Shelby Greear and Jim and
Evelyn Brickey.
The body will lie in state one hour prior to the services.
Burial will follow at Begley Cemetery on Route 65, Ft. Blackmore, Va.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Summey, Raymond Summey, Jerry Lawson,
Victor Finch, RogerGreene, Jeff Wilson, Ronnie Trent, and Allen Oaks.
Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Summey, Jim Darnell and John Brown
