Saturday (April 21, 2001) at James H. Quillen MedicalCenter, Mountain
Home, Tenn.
He was born May 19, 1922 in Scott County, Va.,a son of the late
Loring L. and Lille Mae Osborne.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter,
Bessie L. Osborne; five infant sisters; three brothers, Wilson,
Solomon and David Osborne.
Survivors include hiswife, Kathleen Akers Osborne, Dungannon; five
daughters, Eunice C. Osborne,Russellville, Tenn., Nina Osborne
Begley, Dungannon, Barbara Osborne Musick,Russellville, Tenn., Kitty
Osborne Childress, Kingsport, Debra O. Rogers, Windsor, Ohio; three
sons, Lemuel George Osborne, Auburn Lewis Osborne and Patrick J.
Osborne, all of Dungannon; two sisters, Anna Mae Riner and Mary
Gentry, both of Greeneville; one brother, Kenneth M. Osborne,
Cleveland, Ohio; 24grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m.today at Valley View Church,
Dungannon.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m.today at the church with the Rev.
L.W. Salling officiating. Music will be provided by Dorothy Hicks and
Ricky Mann.
Military graveside services will beconducted at 11 a.m. Monday at
Osborne Family Cemetery, Dungannon, by CharlesDeWitt Byrd Post No.
3383 of the VFW.
The family will be meeting at the cemetery for graveside services.
Nephews and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Gate City Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

on Sunday (June 3, 2001) at her residence.
Born in Scott County, Va. on Sept. 19, 1936, she was the daughter of
the late Emmitt and Nancy Owens Akers.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters,
Bonnie Lucille Beard and Helen Laura Kinkead; two brothers, James
Carlos Akers and Emmitt H."Junior'' Akers Jr.
Surviving are two daughters, Melody Lynn Akers, Burnside,Ky., and
Teresa Ann Rhoton Perez, Arcadia, Fla.; one son, Paul Edward Petrusak,
Manchester, Ky.; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one
sister, Kathleen Osborne, Dungannon, Va.; one brother, Jimmy McArthur
Akers, Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends today at the home of Georgia Driver,
Route 1, Box 203, Ft. Blackmore, Va.
Serviceswill be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cassell's Chapel,
Ft. Blackmore, Va.with the Rev. James Mann and the Rev. Danny Darnell
officiating.
Music willbe provided by Shelby Greear and Lillian Raymond.
Burial will be at the Greear Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, Va.
