3. Charles A. Lawson b 8 AUG 1838 d 7 May 1865 Jackson Hospital, Richmond, VA; buried Lawson Confederate Memorial Cemetery, Scott Co VA; Charles enlisted into the Esteville Davis Guards with his brother William in May 1861. He survived the Battle of Gettysburg and many other battles. May 1864 during the Battle of Spottsylvania Court House he was captured. Feb 1865 he was exchanged. Mar 1865 he was admitted to the hospital in Richmond VA. When Richmond fell to the Federal Army he was again captured and transferred to another hospital in Richmond where he died May 7, 1865. He was originally buried in Richmond. His body was later removed to Lawson Confederate Memorial Cemetery, Scott Co, VA.

4. William L. Lawson b 12 JUL 1841 Scott Co VA d 3 Jul 1863 at the Battle of Gettysburg, PA; killed by enemy artillery; buried in an unknown grave at Gettysburg; William served two tours of duty in the Confederate Army. He fought in every battle of Stonewall Jackson's Valley campaign. July 19, 1862 he was admitted to the hospital for acute diarrhea, treated and discharged from hospital Aug 23, 1862. He returned to duty and was killed during the Battle of Gettysburg, July 3, 1863. His place of burial is not known. At time of his death his rank was 1st Corporal. He had never married.

5. John U. Lawson b 24 DEC 1842 d 19 May 1862 C. S. Hospital Staunton, VA; buried Lawson Confederate Memorial Cemetery, Scott Co VA. John enlisted in the Confederate Army Mar 1862. May 8,1862 he was severely wounded in the Battle of McDowell, Highland Co, VA. He died May 19, 1862. He was brought home for burial in Lawson Confederate Memorial Cemetery, Scott Co, VA. Two brothers would soon join him.

Child of William F Francisco and Rhoda A Lawson; I. George Francisco b 1864; occupation, served TN State Legislature.

7. Sarah C. Lawson b 1847 Scott Co VA; m. 6 Mar 1864 to George W Strong d 20 Mar 1864 in the Civil War only two weeks after marrying Sarah. Sarah C Lawson m. 9 Apr 1866 to Hugh E Porter b about 1843 d 19 Jun 1908 Castlewood VA; s/o Samuel Porter and Mary Unknown. Sarah and Hugh had no children but did raise children of other family members. James Porter, their nephew and Cordelia Belle Porter, relation unknown. Cordelia married Wade Hampton Ramsey and had daughter Sarah Eva Ramsey.
