Funeral services for Bennett B. Tyree, 71, of Thornton, were held November 18, 2008 at Letcher Funeral Home. Burial was in the Tyree Cemetery at Thornton, Letcher Co KY. A son of the late Andrew and Oma Lucas Tyree, he died November 15, 2008 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was married to the late Bobbie Lucas Tyree, and was the father of the late Allen Tyree. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Andrew, and six brothers, Willie Tyree, Clyde Tyree, Ralph Tyree, Kirby Tyree, Ray Tyree, and Edward Tyree. Surviving are two sons, Jerry Tyree, Thornton, and Mark Tyree, Premium; a daughter, Elisa Caudill, Thornton; three brother, Ercel Tyree and Glenn Tyree, both of Tiffin, Ohio, and Samuel Paul Tyree, McChutchenville, Ohio; four sisters, Gladys Dudley and Ruth Gruhn, both of Denison, Tex.; Nora Lee Gannon, Gunter, Tex.; and Rose Biller, Mt. Blanchard, Ohio; nine grandchildren, a great-grandchildren; and a friend, Mary Linda Gibson.
