Phyllis June (Owens) Dobbins
23 Jul 1954 - 3 Jan 1998 Phyllis June Dobbins, 43, Fordland, died at 10:28 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 1998 in her home following a long illness. Phyllis was born July 23, 1954 in Springfield, the daughter of Robert Jr. and Mildred Perkins Owens. She was married to Raymond Dobbins, August 11, 1970 in Ozark. She was a freelance writer for local community newspapers. She was a member of the Ozark Genealogy Society. She loved outdoor activities. She was a wonderful wife, and mother, she was dearly loved by her husband and children. Survivors include her husband Raymond of the home, three daughters, Joyce Elliott and her husband Jason, Stockton, Rebecca Whiteford and her husband Ronnie, Fordland, Amelia Dobbins of the home, and her special friend, Jason Uchtman, Fordland, her mother and father, Robert and Mildred Owens, Bruner, two brothers and their wives, Jack and Wanda Owens, Bruner, Jerry and Genia Owens, Elkhead, six sisters and their husbands, Betty and Bob Fink, Bruner, Wanda and Bob Pearson, Fordland, Donna and Joe Wright, Seymour, Linda and Dale Underwood, Seymour, Dorothy and Ben Shelton, Squires, Judy and David White, Leavenworth, Kan., four grandchildren, Shane Burks, Hailey Burks, Olivia Elliott, Abby Whiteford and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Harris Heritage Funeral Home, Ozark with the Rev. Gene Crewse officiating. Burial will be in the Owens family cemetery, Bruner.
