Callie's first marriage took place when she was only thirteen years old and they were later divorced.


373. Robert McConnell

He died in infancy.


Charles Patton Addington

Patton was a merchant and operated a store in Wayland, VA.


Mary Blankenbeckler

She was the daughter of John Anderson and Nancy Green (Addington) Blankenbecker.


196. William Alexander Kilgore

When William died, his family took his body by train from Stonega to Speers FeRry, where a freight wagon was hired to complete the journey down the Clinch river to his final resting place. When the family arrived back at Speers Ferry for the Train, they were informed that the train had wrecked at natural Tunnel and they would have to wait several days. Rebecca, not wanting to wait, hired the freight wagon ot take them home to Stonega.

Some of the children listed may have be children he had by Rebecca Robinette Willlis.


Sarah Elizabeth Trent

On the 1900 Census for Hancock County, TN, it lists Sarah Kilgore as head of household, born December 1863 in TN. She was a widow or divorced, married 22 years, had 9 children but 7 were living. Also listed in the household was John S. born April 1879, Allac P born May 1880, George E. born July 1883, Launa M. born November 1884, William E. born November 1886, Harason born November 1888, and Henry born June 1892.


Ida Bell Vaughn

She was the daughter of Slimpfield and Sarah (Roller) Vaughn.


204. Thomas P. Kilgore

In 1900 they were living in Hancock County, TN. They moved to one of the mining towns in Wise County in the Appalachia/Big Stone Gap area. He disappeared in the 1920's.


George Washington Jones

He was the son of Joseph Jones and Susan Elizabeth Dunsmore.

413. Mason Lincoln Jones

Mason was shot to death by Ronald Stout, brother of his sister-in-law, Gracie, at the old Beech School in Hancock County, TN.


418. Robert Houston Jones

Robert died of injuries from a car wreck. Della, his wife, later married Freeman Horton, the driver of the car in which Robert was injured.


421. Margaret Jones

She died as a young girl.


432. Flora McConnell

On the 1900 Hancock County, TN census she was listed as Lora E.


Robert P. McConnell

This may be Robert P., son of George J. and Elizabeth (Lizzie) McConnell, He married Martha L. McConnell and the initial L. may be for the name Lula.


212. Robert Alexander McConnell

He was a brick mason.

1920 Census - Wise County, VA - Listed as MacConel.

1930 Census - Rose Hill, Lee County, VA - Listed in the index as McCornell.

Lillian Fox gives his birthdate as May 22, 1873.


447. Erline Loretta McConnell

This may be the "Aretty age 3" on the 1910 census.


448. Harry McConnell

He died from appendicitis.


214. Nora Jane McConnell


She was a diabetic, and when she went to Osaka to visit my grandparents, my mother would give her insulin shots. We always gave her Hershey bars for her birthday. She loved chocolate but since she was a diabetic she would only eat a couple squares at a time. Her death came after she hit her ankle and caused a sore. Because of the diabetes, it would not heal and her leg had to be amputated after gangrene set in.


Charles G. Allen

The Cemetery book lists his death date as 6 Nov 1909 but that is not correct. He died in 1905 and Nora and John were married in 1906.


459. Garnet Allen

Died as a child.


463. Edward H. Allen

Died as a child.
