April 29, 2010 - Campbell Bascom McIntyre, 97, of Letcher passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010 at his residence. Bascom was the son of the late Ben and Hester Whitaker McIntyre. He was the widower of Lois Covington McIntyre. Surviving are 4 daughters: Frances Smelko of Springboro, Ohio, Martha McIntyre of Letcher, Hester (Steve) Konkle of Bright, Indiana, Grace Raglin of Letcher; daughter-in-law: Ernestine McIntyre of West Port, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. Funeral: 3:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Doermann Presbyterian Church with Merle Caudill and Elwood Cornett officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the McIntyre Cemetery at Letcher, Kentucky.
