Gary Allen Potter |
Gary Allen Potter I, 54, of
Baxter, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the Johnson City Medical
Center from complications of pneumonia. A native of Letcher County, he had
lived here most of his life. He was a painter and a member of the Harlan
Baptist Church.
Gary was preceded in death by his father,
Earl M. Potter; and a sister-in-law, Anna Davis.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Strange Bailey, Ages; three children,
Billie Jo Potter, Bucyrus, OH; Jessica Lee Potter, Baxter; Gary Allen Potter
II, North Port, FL; 10 brothers and sisters, Sue Brown and husband, Richard,
Ohio; Edna Huckeby and husband, Leonard, WV; Bill Potter, Ohio; Robert "Red"
Davis and wife, Alice, Ages; Carol Mills and husband, Brice, Evarts; Roger
Davis and wife, Shelly, Ohio; Jay Moses and husband, Carl, Harlan; Julie
Richards and husband, Mark, Ohio; Berie Davis and wife, Renee, Loyall; and
Rick Davis and wife, Michelle, Rio Vista. Also surviving are two grandchildren
and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday from 5 until 7 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home
with funeral services to follow at 7 pm with the Rev. John Ditty officiating.
Burial will be Saturday at 12 noon in the Evarts Memorial Gardens at Kildav.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
