Mitchell Wayne Mullins
Mitchell Wayne Mullins, son of the late Charlie and Charlene Slone Mullins, was born 28 November 1959 and left this earth 11 February 2022.

He is survived by two sons: Mitchell Mullins Jr., Jordan Johnson; grandchildren: Alexander Mullins, Isabella Mulliins, Gabriel Mullins, Brooklyn Mullins and Damien Everett Johnson; sisters: Brenda Lacy (Ron), Judith Mullins; brothers: Lester Mullins, Anthony Potter (Becki).

Mitchell was preceded in death by Larry Mullins and Darrell Mullins.

Mourning Mitchell is his fiancee: Shanda Carter with her daughters: Shawna Amburgey (Shane), Lacey Carter, Betty Hall (James).

Mitchell loved fishing, raising a garden, working construction and his family. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Memorial Service: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Lacy officiating.

Visitation: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

Reuben Potter, age 81, of Jackhorn, Kentucky, passed away Monday March 12, 2012, at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home, Whitesburg, Kentucky. He was born on May 12, 1930, at Jackhorn, Kentucky, and was a lifelong resident of Letcher County, Kentucky. He worked for many years as a coal miner, and also worked for Letcher County as a bridge crew worker. Mr. Potter was a Kentucky Colonel and was of the Church of Christ faith.

He was a son of the late Isaac Potter and Annie Little Potter, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lois Potter; and three brothers, Estil Potter, Conley Potter, and Charles Lee Potter.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony & Rebecca Potter, Thornton, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Anthony Sean Potter and Luke Mac Kenzie; a sister, Bessie Day, Cowan, Kentucky; and a brother, Sam Potter, New Lexington, Ohio; several step-children and step-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Carty Funeral Home, Neon, Kentucky. Funeral services were conducted at 12:00 PM Noon, at the funeral home chapel, with Delmer Isaac, officiating. Interment followed at the Reuben Potter Cemetery, Jackhorn, Letcher County, Kentucky.

February 21, 2013 - Charlene Slone Mullins Potter, 77, of Indianapolis, Indiana formerly of Letcher County passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at her residence. Charlene was the daughter of the late John and Nellie Frisby Slone. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband: Charlie Mullins; 2nd husband: Rueben Potter.

Surviving are her children: Brenda Mullins, Judy Mullins, and Mitchell Mullins all of Indianapolis, Indiana, Anthony Potter (Becky) of Thornton, Lester mullins of Venice, Louisiana; 7 grandchildren: Lester Delano (Jada), Jason Wayne Mullins (Christina), Holly Marie mullins (Anthony), Jean Potter, Luke Mackenzie Potter, Mitchell Wayne Mullins (friend Jessi), Jordon Neil Johnson; 8 great grandchildren: Chance Mullins, Morgen Mullins, Payton and Bevyn Mullins, Alexus Mullins, Justus Kelly, Alexander Mullins,and Isabella Mullins; siblings: Regina Holbrook, Jeff Seals, Russell Dennis, Jesse Dennis.

Funeral: 1:00 o'clock P.M. Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hemphill Cemetery at Jackhorn, Kentucky.
