Iva Mullins, age 77, of
Pippa Passes, Kentucky, died on Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at his
home. He was born on February 2, 1928, in Knott County, Kentucky, the
son of the late John Riley and Barbara Amburgey Mullins. He was
retired from the Knott County Board of Education and was a member of
the Ivy Point Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; one
son, Lester Mullins; two daughters, Laura Marie Farmer and Carol Sue
Mullins; two brothers, Newton Ray Mullins and Marcus J. Mullins; two
sisters, Pearlie Jent and Rachael Edgars; and one grandson,
Christopher Watson. He is survived by his wife, Lauretta Slone Watson
Mullins; two sons, Chris (Brenda) Watson of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and
Denzil Watson of Pippa Passes, Kentucky; three daughters, Sharon K.
Mullins of Hindman, Kentucky, Denise (Wayne) Slone of Litt Carr,
Kentucky and Maxine (Lawrence), of Covington, Kentucky; one brother,
Burley Mullins of Elkhort, Indiana; three sisters, Ollie Neal of
Morgantown, Indiana, Bonnie Patrick of White Cloud, Michigan and Mary
Holliday of Ary, Kentucky; one special friend, Michael Slone; one
son-in-law, Jimmy Farmer; twelve grandchildren; and eleven
great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Friday,
February 18, at 11:00 a.m., at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Hindman,
Kentucky, with Lonzo Mosley, Don Pratt and others officiating. Burial
followed in Cornett Cemetery, at Big Branch, Kentucky, under the
direction of Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Hindman, Kentucky. Posted in
