Paul Eric Newman age 53, went to be with the lord July 6, 2019 at his residence.
Paul lived in Dickenson county since 1991 was a member of Philadelphia Freewill Baptist Church in Clintwood. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Paul loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and muscle cars.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry Rex Newman and mother Louise Potter Newman. Brothers Arvid “Sam” Newman, Brandon Newman as well as one infant son. Paternal grandparents George Newman and Audrey Jenkins Newman, Maternal Grandparents Victor and Myrtle Strange Potter.
Survivors Include: Wife- Kathyrn Stines Newman of Clintwood; Children- Michael Gibson and significant other Elizabeth of Pennington gap, va; Jammie Gibson and fiancee Margo of Buckhannon WV; Joshua Gibson and wife Laken of Clintwood; Brother - Larry Newman and wife Shirley of Hammond, Indiana; 3 Grandchildren- Olivia Glee, Colton Eric and Brody Paul; Special friends- Roscoe Rowe, Branson Mullins, Jerry Hutchison and Jeff Stanley. Several aunts uncles nieces and nephews also surviving.
The family will receive friends Tuesday July 9, 2019 from 6:00 pm till 7:00 pm where funeral services will be conducted at 7:00pm in the Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with clergymen Gabe Johnson and Lewis Mullins officiating. Prayer Service will be conducted Wed July 10, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Mullins Funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Phipps memorial cemetery town of Clintwood. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Mullins Funeral Home and Staff are serving the Newman Family.

Obituary: Larry Moses Rex Newman

Larry Moses Rex Newman, age 79, of Jenkins, Kentucky, passed away on December 27, 2015 at Wexford House, Kingsport, Tennessee. He was born on September 8, 1936 in Lexington, Kentucky and lived in Chicago, Arizona, Jenkins and Tennessee. Moses worked for numerous years in construction. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Navy, with him being stationed in Germany and spent time at other naval ports. Moses was a member of the American Legion Post #66, Jenkins, Kentucky. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He was a son of the late George Newman and Audrey Mae Jenkins Newman. Moses was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Potter Newman; two sons, Arvid “Sam” Newman and Brandon Newman; a sister, Carolyn Newman; and a brother, Jack Newman.
He is survived by two sons, Larry Newman, Jr., (Shirley), of Hammond, Indiana, and Paul Eric Newman (Kathy), of Clintwood, Virginia; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Newman, of Jonesborough, Tennessee; three brothers, Charlie Newman, of Norton, Virginia, Jimmy Newman, of Jenkins, Kentucky, and Roger Newman, of Aberdeen, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 29, 2015 from 6:00-9:00 at Carty Funeral Home Polly & Craft Chapel, Jenkins, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with Danny Craft officiating. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery, Ermine, Kentucky.
