19. Ephraim Osborne

He settled first at Newtown, returned to New Haven, next settled in Cheshire parish in Wallingford, later removed to Woodbury and finally to Dutchess County, New York.


25. Jonathan Osborne

Jonathan and his parents emigrated to Virginia on the ship James Goodwill, arriving Oct., 1720. This came from a post on NGS on 6/24/94from Carole Spencer....Waterloo, Iowa.Jonathan emigrated from England in 1720 Jonathan Osborn Jr.,married in NJ. Children were Stephen 1745, Solomon, Ephraim 1746 (soldier in1775 war), James, Thomas, several more children. Some of the family stayed in NJ, but about 1753, Jonathan and children named above migrated south to where Stephen Osborne married Comfort Langham in 1765. Some of the clan remained in SC, but Jonathan, Ephraim, Thomas, Stephen and their families moved to NC and settled in Surry Co, on the Yadkin River across from Old Boonesville (first home of Daniel Boone.) They were there as early as 1767. It was here that Solomon Ephraim Osborne married Elizabeth HOWARD. Solomon E. OSBORNE and Elizabeth HOWARD's children were Enoch (Captain in war 1776), Robert James, Jonathan 13 Feb 1752 Rowan Co (1776 war soldier).Married 1 Jul 1722, Williamsburg, VA, Gretta HOLLMAN (862), born about 1701, Williamsburg, James City, VA.
