Hi Deb, first of all, let me correct a mistake...I told you his name was Rhonda Lee Curd, but the spelling is really RONDA...sorry. Yes, he was a male. We always call him Ron. His birthdate is May 7, 1935 and he was born in Marion McDowell County NC. The younger brothers were born there. The older children were born in Johnson County TN. (Actually, I'm not sure about Conley Radnor Curd...I'm not sure if he was born in McDowell Co NC or Johnson CO TN, but he is the only one that I'm not sure of.) Ronda married Joyce Louise Haynes. I know her family lived in McDowell County at one time, but her father, John C. Haynes came from Madison County NC and her mother, Ella Mae Banks came from Spartanburg SC. Hettie Caroline Osborne married the old time singer, Clarence Thomas Ashley, (Tom Ashley). They had one son, Tommy who was talented in music as well. Hettie and Tom are buried in the Ashley Cemetery in Johnson County TN on a hill in front of their old homeplace.
