BACKUS WOMAN KILLS HERSELFBackus- Feb 22- Mrs. Iva Bell Osborne, 48-year old Backus woman, died early yesterday of self-inflicted gunshot wounds, according to verdict rendered by inquest conducted by Justice of the Peace Fred R. Small of Quinnmont District. Wife of John Lee Osborne of Backus, she was a daughter of Benjamin Keith and the late Mrs. Keith of Fola, West Virginia.
•Surviving besides the husband are four daughters, Misses Beverly, Joan, and Susie Osborne, at home, and Mrs. Katherine Scott of Russell, Kentucky. Also three sons, Charles and Russell Osborne, at home, and Harry Osborne of Charleston. Other survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Marie Ramsey of Handley, Mrs. Sarah Osborne of Clay; Mrs. Alice Stephenson of Charleston , and Mrs. Delcia Roberts of Eccles; also, four brothers, Lon Keith, living in Maryland, Okey of Handley, Herbert of Clay, and Elk of Lizemore. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Fola Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Jones officiating and burial in the Keith Cemetery. The body is at Wallace and Wallace Mortuary where it will remain until removed to the church at Fola.
