Services Monday For Mahala Penix, 94

Mrs. Mahala Penix, 94, beloved and aged resident of Boons Camp, died January 3 at 5:00 p.m., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Effie Crum, after an illness of two years.

A lifelong resident of this county, she was born December 4, 1864, the daughter of the late Will and Betty Branham Mollett.

She had been a member of the United Baptist Church for the past seventy-five years.

Her husband, John Penix, preceded her in death March 27, 1935.

Survivors include two sons, Seymore and George Penix, both of Davisport; five daughters, Mrs. Effie Crum, Boons Camp; Mrs. Nola Cline, Chattaroy, W. Va.; Mrs. Josie Pruitt, Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Jessie Cline, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Carmen Delong, Davisport; two brothers, Elias Mollett, Boons
Camp; Joe Mollett, Debord; one sister, Roxie Crum, Debord. Also surviving are forty seven grandchildren, 159 great-grandchildren and 44 great- great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 5, at the
Little Friendship United Baptist Church at Boons Camp with Flem Arrowood,
Winfrey Meek and Nim Sturgill as officiating ministers.

Burial was in the Dennie Pig Cemetery at Boons Camp.
