It is with a sad and very broken heart that we attempt to write this obituary of a very dear loved one, Hibbard Little. He was the son of Creed and Sarah Elswick Little. He was born in Pike County on January 15, 1910. He left this troublesome world to be with Jesus November 28, 1983.
He was married to Viola Tackett Little March 28, 1929. He was a faithful hard working husband, striving to give his family the comforts of life. To this union were born six children, five preceded him in death, Justine, Edith, Randall, .end Namon all died in infancy, Hobert Eugene died of a heart attack in 'P979. One lonely daughter, Flo Varney of Virgie survives. He also leaves a grieving widow, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
Brother Hibbard joined the Regular Baptist Church May 30, 1947. He loved God and God's people. When you talked with him, his conversa tion always turned to Jesus and the church.
He was a man that loved his family and his grandchildren and great grandchildren all loved their Papaw.
He was a retired miner and suffered much with his lungs, going to church many times when he wasn't able. But he's gone to a country where he has a new set of lungs filled with God's spirit and will never suffer any more.
He was a Deacon in the Enterprise Church, where he served his duties well.
His family all loved him dearly and grieves daily over this terrible loss of such a loved one. We miss you Papaw and we hope to see you again some day. We believe he is in heaven where he always talked about going some day. Martha (Tackett) Hampton was born October 29th, 1916 and passed away on September 14th, 1996, making her stay on this earth 79 years, 8 months and 15 days. She was the seventh child of eight children who were born unto the late Oliver and Emoline (Hudson) Tackett. Martha was preceded in death by both parents, three brothers: Duran, Edgbert & John Tackett, and three sisters: Vadnie Caudill, Viola Little and Elsie Little. She leaves one sister, Anel Hampton, and a host of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing. Martha married her beloved husband, Basil Hampton, on December 9, 1932. To this union were born two children, Gladzie Fern and Vernon Webster, both of whom died in infancy. Basil, her faithful husband of 64 years, stood by her bedside during the last five years of her life and was at that post on Saturday morning when the angel from Heaven came and took her home to receive her great reward. Martha joined the Old Regular Baptist Church the fourth Saturday in April, 1935 at the young age of 17. She was baptized that same day by Elder Drake Bowling and remained a faithful member for over 61 years. She was an inspiration to all who knew her! She never failed to tell you about Jesus and to talk about her church. Her greatest joy in life came from getting dinner ready for the Enterprise Church each church time and telling "Bas," which is what she called him, just how to place the food in the trunk of the car to protect it. She really loved her church! Martha did so much to help the people of this community that it will never be the same without her. She would love to shout, sing and praise her Lord at church so much that it will never be the same without her. She lived a full and happy life on earth and I'm sure she is now receiving the reward she was always looking for. She will certainly be in that number when the saints go marching in!
Basil Hamptom
Age 82, of Virgie, died November 8, 1997. Born Aug. 24, 1915, son of the late Marlon Hampton and Allie Elswick. Survivors include five brothers; Hassell, Russell, Elmer, Lonnie, Edgar; four sisters, Lettie Pugh, Stella Rowe, Lottie Tackett, Hettie Kenny. Burial is in the Amil Little Memorial Cemetery at Virgie, KY.

Ilma Tackett Hall, 99, of Robinson Creek, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at the home of her son, Wilburn Hall Jr.
She was born Sept. 16, 1912, the daughter of the late James Ervin and Hannah (Tackett) Tackett.
She was a self-employed merchant and a member of the Old Union Regular Baptist Church for 25 years, the Old Elkhorn Regular Baptist Church for 23 years, and the Hemphill/Little Hannah Old Regular Baptist Church for 32 years.
Besides her parents, she was a preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Hall Sr.; and four brothers, Eddie Tackett, Conley Tackett, Lacy Tackett and Carley Tackett.
She is survived by one son, Wilburn "Jimmy" Hall Jr. of Jenkins; three grandchildren, Ricky Hall, Cindy Hall Hackworth and James Hall; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, in the Hall & Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Booker Wright Cemetery, Long Fork of Virgie. Arrangements are under direction of Hall & Jones Funeral Home of Virgie.
Special services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Wilburn Hall was born on December 29,1909 on Long Fork of Shelby Creek in Pike County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Willard and Euna Brown Hall. He departed this life on December 5, 1985 at 1:37 a.m. at the Methodist Hospital in Pikeville, Kentucky. He was seventy-five years of age. He was an ordained Deacon at the old Elkhorn Church. Wilburn worked for Consolidation Coal Company for forty-five years. He enjoyed twelve years of retired life.
On August 31,1928 Wilburn married Ilma Tackett. They had attended school together from childhood. Ilma was sixteen and Wilburn was nineteen when they were married. They shared life's joys and sorrows for over fifty-six years until death parted them.
He leaves to morn his passing his beloved wife Ilma of Robinson Creek Kentucky, His only son Elder Wilburn (Jimmy) Hall Jr. of Jenkins, Kentucky. Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters Stella Johnson of Indian Creek, Kentucky, and Belle Tackett of Ashland, Kentucky; two brothers Allard Hall and Ed Hall both of Virgie, Kentucky.

She was the daughter of Elder CLINE and CORA ANDERSON TACKETT, she was married to HENRY ADAMS, into this union was born 1 daughter, LORNA SUE, both proceded her in death. She leaves to mourn, 2 daughters by a previous marriage, CORA ELLEN ADKINS and GLENDA FAYE HALL.
