Descendants of John Osborne

Notes

2044. Darcus Mullins

This woman was allegedly a Cherokee Indian who was raised by a white family named Mullens. I can find no offical documentation that she was adopted, and records of the Osborne family indicate that she was born to the family of John Mullins and Dorcas Osborne in 1852. The date I have in my records show 1857, but I could have read her grave marker wrong. Her husband Gilbert was born in 1846, and 1852 seems like the more reasonable choice for her birth.
