Mrs Phoebea J Pennington , 93, died yesterday in a Bristol hospital. She is the mother of Mrs Fred Taylor of Roanoke.
Other survivors are one son, Chester Pennington, Wilcoe, WV, five other daughters , Mrs S E Blevins, Marion; Mrs P C Peterson, San Francisco; Mrs Y H THompson, Bristol; Mrs Howard Johnson, Goodwill, WV; 34 granschildren, 59 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.
Services will be Saturday at 2pm at Grosses Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

William Chester Pennington, 86, of Leckie, died Tuesday at his home following a short illness.
Born in NC , he was a son of the late David and Phoebe Pennington. He was a retired sawmill employe and had been a resident of Leckie for the past 32 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are his widow, Lula Hambly Pennington of Leckie, two daughters, Miss Phoebe Pennington of Jamestown, Ind., and Mrs Virginia Cochran of Jamestown, eight sons, Claxton , William Pennington , all of Liberty, Ky; Jessee Pennington of Coal City, Ind; Vance Pennington of Mansville, Ky; Kirby Pennington, Junction City, KY ; J R Pennington of Chester, VA and Johnny Pennington of Shelbyville, Ind;one step daughter , Mrs Dorothy Gornes of CA; one step-son James C Newsom of Columbus, Ohio, three sisters: Mrs Rose Peterson of CA, Mrs Bessie Taylor of Roanoke, Mrs Bertha Thompson of Bristol, VA; 47 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, 72 great great grandchildren, three step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10am , at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev Wiley David officiating. Burial will follow in the Grosse's Creek Cemetery at Chilhowie , VA.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. Flowerbearers will be granddaughters.
Friends will call at the funeral home today at from 5 to 9pm.

F.A. Burnett, 69, came to Texas at the age of 19 and made Young County his home until his death.
Finis A. Burnett married Nellie Belle Wright on 14 February 1898 in Graham, Texas. To this union four children were born.
Survived by his wife; two sons - W. Raymond Burnett and Pete L. Burnett; two daughters - Mrs. Charlie M. Gibson and Mrs. Leslie C. Reed; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers - George N. and W.C. Burnett; two sisters - Mrs. Minta Wright and Mrs. Cora McClain; a host of nieces and nephews.
Nellie Burnett lived most of her life in Graham and Young County. She married F.A. Burnett who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Assembly of God and the Eastern Star. Nellie Burnett had studied nursing in Arkansas.
Survived by two daughters - Mrs. Charles M. Gibson and Mrs. Charley Roller; two sons - William Rayman "W.R." and Pete Gibson; one sisters - Mrs. Mary Neisbett; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

Her Death was recorded in Scott County Death Records by her then parents Ira P. Robinette and Florence Josephine Blevins Berry Robinette. She reportedly died from Consumption at age 17. Her official death date recorded was 17 Jul 1896. The death date recorded on her gravestone is 11 Aug 1896 which may be in error. Her natural father William Henry Berry passed in 1884. William Henry Berry is the brother of Jessee O. Berry who is buried in this cemetery.

John J. Robinette, 74,a well known Kingsport citizen, died at his home here on Bloomingdale at 9 p. m. last night following a lingering illness. ROGERSVILLE-James Wesley Robinette. 89, died at Holston Valley Community Hospital Tuesday after a brief illness.He was a member of the Baptist Church here and a former Scott County resident,he made his home in Rogersville with his daughter for several years.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. P. Rogers, of Rogersville and Mrs. William Harmon Head? of Kingsport; two sons, Kelton Robinette of Kingsport and T. Robinette
