Zandra Faye Addington Perry, daughter of the late Elihu B. Addington, Jr. and Margaret Franklin Addington was born October 7, 1948. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 15, 2021 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital being 72 years 9 months and 8 days of age.
She was the widow of Willie Perry, whom she married at the age of 16. Although they had their ups and downs through the years, they loved each other dearly and he remained the love of her life even after his passing. She never forgot him and missed him every day. Zandra was a member of the Craft Colly Missionary Baptist Church.
She loved working with family genealogy and was a founding member of the Letcher County Historical & Genealogical Society serving as secretary and current president.
Zandra is survived by one daughter Sherry M. Howard and husband Michael, one son Steven J. Perry and wife Jessie, all of Ermine, one sister Linda Clark and husband David of Whitesburg, grandchildren Jacob Sexton and wife Katelyn of Mayking, Jared Sexton of Berea, Tasha Bailiff and husband Cory, of Elkhorn City, Adam Howard of Whitesburg and great grandchildren Willow Sexton, Amara Sexton, Abrahm Bailiff and Davie Ruth Bailiff who all knew and loved her as KeKe. A beloved aunt, Irene Addington, who was like a second mother, Florence King, a lifetime friend, and two very special friends Pauline Combs and Jean Cook along with a host of family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be at the Letcher Funeral Home Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with funeral services at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Cecil Howard officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery at Whitesburg, Kentucky.
