Obituary: Curwood Potter Jr. buried at Mayking
Funeral services for Curwood Potter Jr., 64, were held October 16, 2008 at the Hemphill Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was in Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking, Letcher Co KY. A son of the late Curtis and Alice Belcher Potter, he died October 14, 2008 at his home at Jackhorn, KY. He was a brother of the late Harrison Potter, A.C. Potter, Harold Dean Belcher, Arthur Belcher, and Virginia Cochran. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Ann Perkins Potter; a son, Tony Curtis Potter and wife Felicia Ann, Whitesburg; a sister, Elouis Wilson, McRoberts; and two grandchildren, Latisha Nicole and Emily Alene. Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Obituary: Joyce Perkins Potter: January 26, 2011 - Joyce Ann Potter, 60, of Jackhorn passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Joyce was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lena Lambert Perkins. She was the widow of Curwood Potter Jr. Surviving are 1 son: Tony Potter of Yonts Fork; 1 brother: James Perkins of Pioneer, California; 2 sisters: Betty Tripp of Cincinnati, Ohio and Juanita Conley of Coldspring, Kentucky; 2 grandchildren: Emily Potter and Litsha Potter; 1 great grandchild: Bradeen Cole Dixon. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the Hemphill Freewill Baptist Church with Danny Hurst and others officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the Hemphill Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking, Kentucky.
