Obituary of Thelma V. Gilliam, 89, of Livingston, Tenn. died July 7, 2006. Born Aug. 12, 1916, in Pound, Va., she was the daughter of Jerome and Arminta (Hollyfield) Potter.

She retired from Riverview Hospital in Noblesville after many years of service as a nursing assistant. She was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sue Carol and Jim Tisdal of Cookeville, Tenn., Mary and Bob Brown of Livingston, Tenn., and Sandra and Ron Puschnig of Monroe, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kedrick Gilliam; a daughter, Doris J. Gerber; five brothers, Clyde Potter, Claude Potter, Ralph Potter, Victor Potter and Ernest Potter; four sisters, Judith Potter, Theo Smith, Edell Morgan and Mabel Sexton; and a great-granddaughter, Randi Sue Gerber. Services were July 10 at Livingston Funeral Home with the Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating. Burial was in Monroe Cemetery.
