McCray - Collier Family Reunion is scheduled for July 10th, 11th, and 12th,
at the Park Vista Resort Hotel in Gatlinburg, Tenn. We will have activities
planned for Thursday evening, Friday and Saturday. The main get-together
well be Saturday morning for a breakfast buffet from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Then Saturday evening from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. We well be having an
ice cream and cake social, where we will also share old pictures and take

LEXINGTON, KY
The Phillip Hamman Family Association made up of descendants of
Revolutionary War hero, Phillip Hamman, and his wife, Christina Cook,
residents of Kentucky for over 40 years beginning in 1782, will be having
its Bi-Annual Family Reunion in Lexington, Kentucky July 25-27, 2008.
Hamman/Hammond(s) cousins will be descending upon Lexington from Alabama,
Arizona, California, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and,
hopefully, many from all parts of Kentucky, as well as some new cousins from
other states.
Headquarters for the reunion will be the Four Points Hotel by Sheraton, 1938
Stanton Way, Lexington, KY. Reservations must be made by June 30, 2008 to
get the special Phillip Hamman Group Rate. Visitors may check in as early as
July 23 and get the same special room rate. When you call for reservations
be sure to tell them that you are part of the Hamman Reunion group and want
the special group rate.
Brian Ann Wells Arnett of Versailles, KY is coordinating the reunion and
could use some help from any of the Hamman cousins in the Lexington, KY

You don't have to be registered at the hotel to participate in the reunion
events, but reservations for the Saturday night banquet should be made by
those not staying at the hotel. You can contact Doris Brown Rose at the

Friday, July 25, a group trip is planned to Mt. Sterling, then to Slate
Creek near Jeffersonville, Montgomery County, to visit the site where
Phillip Hamman and Christina Cook lived for almost 40 years, followed by a
group meeting at 7:00p.m. Friday night for the sharing of newly revised
family group sheets for each of Phillip and Christina's children. Saturday
morning at 9:00 a.m. will be the business meeting for the election of new
officers, followed by the sharing of new family history discoveries from
members and guests. A highlight of the reunion is always the banquet on
Saturday night. The special guest speaker at the Saturday night banquet will
be Charles E. Darnell, descendant of Henry Cook, brother of Christina Cook
Hamman.
The reunion is also open to all Hamman, Hammond(s), or any other variation
of the spelling of that surname, even if you are not a descendant of Phillip
and Christina.

A Welcome Reception for out-of-town Jessee cousins will be held on Friday
evening at the Coomes Recreation Center in Abingdon, VA. There will be hot
dogs, snacks, and soft drinks. Thanks to Robert Trigg Jessee, we are hoping
to have a family band with area musicians, and welcome those with musical
instruments to join the fun. This has proved to be a great success, so
please take this opportunity to socialize and have fun getting acquainted
with your out-of-town or out-of-state relatives while enjoying family
musical entertainment. A place will be available for those cousins wishing
to share family displays. The local cousins and particularly JHF Board
Members are also encouraged to join in the fun and get a head-start on the
weekend events. All cousins and guests are welcome.

Many have been asking about the date for the HIBBITTS 2008
REUNION. The date is AUGUST 24, 2008, location is the same as last year, the
Feltner 4-H Camp on Hwy 229, next to the Levi Jackson State Park entrance in
London, Kentucky. More details will be made available here throughout the coming
months.
For anyone needing to make motel reservation, most of the family
stay at The Budget Host/Westgate Inn at I-75 Exit 41, London, Ky. BH/WI also has
RV camping sites. This is a local American family owned establishment. If making
reservations at Budget Host be sure to mention you are with the Hibbitts

just wanted to give everyone early notice of our reunion plans for 2008.
There will be a reunion for everyone and anyone related to the Reynolds / Amburgey lines (which includes most of SE Kentucky) this year in September.
The reunion is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Human
Resource Building at the Hindman Settlement School in Hindman, KY. Actual
times, and plans for the genealogy sharing meeting on Friday night will be
firmed up in the future.

The third national reunion of the families of Joseph and Queentina Reynolds
will be held September 26 and 27, 2008, at the Human Resource Building at
the Hindman Settlement School in Hindman, KY.
On Friday afternoon we will meet for our genealogy workshop where we will
share family info, pictures, etc. We will meet on Saturday at the Human
Resource Center at the Hindman Settlement School for food, friendship, and
fun. We will be having door prizes and raffles Saturday during the reunion.
Everyone who is related to Joseph and Queentina and any of their extended
families are welcome to attend. Please let your families that aren't on the
Internet know about the reunion.
