Lucinda Combs Amburgey, age 92, of Bearville, Kentucky, passed away May 29, 2009 at Lake Station, Indiana. She was born in Knott County, Kentucky on December 31, 1916 to Samuel Roberts and Susan Creech Roberts. She was preceded in death by 1st husband: James M. Combs; 2nd husband: Mark Amburgey; brothers: Arthur Hershel and Farris Roberts; sisters: Lydia Combs, Cora Bolen and Nellie Ritchie. She is survived by 2 daughters: Christine Gayheart and Thelma Jean (Woodrow) Ritchie; son: Jon E. (Jeanette) Amburgey; stepson: Leon (Sue) Amburgey; brother: Sherman Roberts; grandchildren: Jordan Amburgey, Jeremy Slone, Alicia (Patrick) Conley, Gregory (Sandy) Gayheart, Christopher (Susan) Ritchie and Lesi (David) Marsh; great grandchildren: Noah and Nathan Ritchie, Sarah, Mariah and Austin Hamany and Jessica Gayheart; special niece: Audra (John) Saylor; host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Lucinda Combs Amburgey will be 11AM, Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Ricky Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Combs Cemetery at Sandlick, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6-9PM, Monday with singing service at 7PM.
