Mrs. Tennessee Sanders Collins, 95, of
Salisbury, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Autumn Care of Salisbury.
Born October 6, 1909 in Ash Camp KY, she was a daughter of the late Sarah
Belle Adkins Sanders and Isaac Sanders.
Educated in the Pike County, KY Schools, she was a homemaker, a member of the
Elkhorn City United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women in Elkhorn
City, KY, and a fifty year member of the Anna O. Young Chapter #28 Order of the
Eastern Star in Pikeville, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Estil Collins on July 25,
1972.
Survivors include a son, Royal Dean Collins and his wife Shelba Coleman
Collins of Cincinnati, OH; one daughter, Diana Collins Myers and her husband
Eddie H. Myers of Salisbury; three grandchildren, Joni Collins Robinson of
Bethel, OH, Deana Collins Pringnitz and her husband Scott Pringnitz of
Fairfield, OH, and Erin Renee Myers of Salisbury; two great-grandchildren,
Brittany and Corey Robinson, and Nolan Pringnitz.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005 at
Elkhorn City United Methodist Church, Elkhorn City, KY with the Rev. Jean Dee,
minister and the Rev. David Hockett, minister of Milford Hills United Methodist
Church, Salisbury officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Memorial Park,
Pikeville, KY.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005 with an
Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m. at the J.W. Call and Son Funeral Home, 703
Hambley Blvd., Pikeville, KY.
A second memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005
at Milford Hills United Methodist Church, Salisbury with the Rev. David Hockett,
minister officiating.
