Obituary: Avenell Fleming: Service held for Avanell Fleming
Avanell Senter Fleming, of Marshall's Branch, died October 27, 2007 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital, Whitesburg, Letcher Co KY. She was 80 years old. Born at Jenkins, Letcher Co KY, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Velva Johnson Senter and was the widow of Charles "Ted" Fleming. She was the mother of the late Kenneth Fleming and a sister of the late Winston Senter.  She was a member of the Marshall's Branch Worship Center. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Ison and husband Bill, Whitesburg, and Rita Mullins and husband Richard, Jenkins; four sons, Frank Fleming and wife Amy and Roger Fleming and wife Carrie, all of Jenkins; Wayne Fleming and wife Donna, Whitesburg; and Winston Fleming and wife Antoinette, Pinetop; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruby Day, Jeffersonville, Ind., and Joyce Kelly, Jenkins. Funeral services were held October 30 at Carty Funeral Home in Jenkins, Letcher Co KY. Burial was in the Fleming family cemetery at Marshall's Branch, KY.
