JUANITA LEE STALLARD: Kingsport- Juanita Lee Stallard, 93, who was born in Scott County to the late W.R. (Bill) & Nancy Stallard passed away on Friday (August 7, 2009). She was the youngest of twelve children. Juanita graduated from Midway High School. Following graduation, she stayed home to take care of her parents and did so until their death. Miss Stallard then moved to Weber City and resided with her sister, Elva Alley until her death. Since 2006, she has resided with her niece, Frances Jones in Lynn Garden. Juanita was a charter member of Christian Life Center on John B. Dennis Highway. She loved the Lord and attended church as long as she was able. Miss Stallard loved to piece quilts and especially read her bible. She was loved by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ezra Stallard, Roy D. Stallard, Venus Nickles, Manden Stallard, Orpha Onks, Tinafair Hayes, Charley Stallard, Alphia Vermillion, Malcom Stallard, Elva Alley, & Woodrow Stallard. Juanita Stallard is survived by her nieces, Frances Jones, Peggy Spangler, Joyce Sanders & her husband, Tommy, Martha Kendrick, Reva Jones & husband, Hugh, Rowena Fisher; her nephews, Darrel Nickles & his wife, Georgia, Bobby Stallard & his wife, Rita; a special great nephew & his wife, Lloyd & Judy Jones along with several additional great nieces & great nephews; great-great nieces & great-great nephews; great-great-great nieces & great-great-great nephews; special friends, Sherry Iusi, Ostia Barber, & Darrell Brown. Calling hours will be held on Sunday (August 9, 2009) from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Scott County Funeral Home or friends may also call anytime at the residence of the niece, Frances Jones. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday (August 10, 2009) at 11 a.m. at Christian Life Center with Emeritus James Tharpe, Pastor Keith Barker & Rev. George Willis officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral at Stallard Family Cemetery in Midway, Virginia. A special thank-you goes out to Tammy & Lisa with Amedisys Hospice.
