Instant Messaging to
the Home Page. Now visitors can send us an Instant Message from this page. If
you don't get an answer right away it is because we are away from the computer,
but leave a message anyhow and we'll get it. We love to hear from you.
> Chatroom 1 Message Length Limit
Problem:
For those of us who have tried to leave long messages in this
Chatroom 1; So far, I have not been able
to get help from meebo.com to increase the message limit size. I can find no way
to increase it myself in the settings. I will continue to try to figure out how
to increase the size, but until then, we can use the
Feedback
or Comment pages to
post long messages. In Chatroom 1 your message length is limited (in my opinion)
way too much. You can't leave long messages n this one unless you follow the
instructions below.
Instructions to sign in to Chatroom
1:
1. Go to Meebo.com
2. Sign up for a meebo user name and password (or you can sign in with your aim,
yahoo, google talk, icq or jabber account. if you sign in with any of these
accounts, skip step 3 and go to step 4)
3. Sign in at meebo.com
4. Click on the "meebo rooms" link at the top of the page
5. Type in yeapotter in the "Find More Rooms" text box on the popup window menu
bar
6. The yeapotter room icon will appear in the popup window - click on the "yeapotter"
icon to open the message window and there you can share long messages with us.
> Chatroom 2:
In the other
Chatroom 2 we
can leave long messages, but this one doesn't save the chat log. You can use
copy and paste to save your chats into your Notepad, but the messages you leave
in Chatroom 2 are not there after you log off and log back in. Also, if you
close the chatroom page, your chatroom is no longer available to you. You don't
need to register or sign up to use Chatroom 2. You do need java enabled browsers
for Chatroom 2. Each one has their own disadvantages.

Notice:
The problem seems to be solved: I am cautiously hoping that the
hacker who renamed my dns servers on the startlogic website where I have the
photo gallery has been blocked by the technicians at startlogic. I am hopeful
but still remain concerned about the problem. I hope it is resolved and won't
happen again anytime soon, but if a loser who has plenty of time on his or her
hands decides to screw up a website, it's not difficult to find out how to do
it. Fortunately, most of us choose not to be destructive, sneaky lowlifes that
don't mind crossing the line to do harm to others. I sincerely hope that our
visitors, family and friends have not been inconvenienced. Thank you for your
patience in this matter and I hope you continue to visit us often.

July 2008:
Notice: I regret to say that a hacker (probably the a
hole who tried to deface the photo gallery) has disabled the yeapotter.com website and the photo galleries as well as any other information
contained on the website is no longer available and will not be until further
notice. I will try to add back the galleries on this site as time allows. I will
not use the old form of the gallery again because it is too vulnerable to
hackers. I have not disabled the photos and album buttons and links on the other
web pages on this site, but if you try to access the Gallery from any other
page, you cannot do so at this time.

Profitt family along with additions and corrections. Thanks to Troy for the
information and photos. In the Minutes are mention of many of our ancestors;
including the Profitts, Bakers, Hammonds, Tollivers and many others.

I am very sorry, but I have to suspend users in the photo
gallery due to a breach in security. Someone went in and tried to deface the
Gallery and I can't allow that to happen. We have nearly 9000 photos in there
and it is very important to all of us, so I'm very sorry to say that I can no
longer allow user names and passwords for the Gallery. You may still upload as a
guest to the Guest Album if you like. I'm so sorry, but it just takes one bad
apple to spoil the whole bunch. By the way, I would like for it to be known that
I don't believe the defacement was done by any of our family members to whom
I sent user names and passwords. I believe it was done by some outsider who
got a password by mistake and I apologize for this inconvenience. Please feel
free to email me your photos at any time and as many as you like. I will
promptly upload them to your photo gallery.
