Services are held for Lola A. Webb
Lola A. Webb, 78, of Neon, died April 2, 2009 at Whitesburg Appalachian
Hospital. Born at Goose Creek, she was a daughter of the late Frank Phillip and
America Potter Wright. She was the widow of William Conley Webb. Mrs. Webb was a
grandmother of the late Ashley Danielle Webb, and a sister of the late Ralph
Wright, Herbert Wright, Phillip Wright, John B. Wright, Firl Wright, and Mildred
Sledge. She was a graduate of business college in Knoxville, Tenn., and worked
at Time Finance in Neon and retired from the Community Trust Bank. She was a
member of the Jenkins Order of the Eastern Star Pine Mountain Chapter #247, and
a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are a son,
Michael Conley Webb and wife Debbie, Neon; three grandchildren, Tamara Brooke
Webb, Brittany Nicole Webb and Cameron Michael Webb; a brother, Charlie Wright,
Wyandotte, Mich.; and two sisters, Ernestine Gooch, Millstone, and Beulah
Bentley, Jackson, Ohio. Funeral services were held April 6, 2009, Burial was in
the Wright family cemetery.

Obituary: John B. Wright, age 69, passed away Monday, Feb.
7, 2005, in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 28, 1935, in Kona, Ky., to Frank Phillip
and America Potter Wright. On March 3, 1958, he married Rachel Elaine Schlarman
in Las Vegas. On Nov. 27, 1977, they were sealed in the St. George Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple. John grew up in Goose Creek Hollow,
Ky. In 1954, he entered the U.S. Air Force, serving for 20 years. He started his
family based in Tennessee, he spent time away from his family in Greenland and
Thailand and was able to be with his family in England, Germany, Florida and
finally in Las Vegas. In 1974, he retired from the U.S. Air Force and moved to
Moapa. He worked for the Clark County School District for 24 years as a
custodian. He loved working with the staff and being around the young people.
John enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting planes, cars and coins. He enjoyed
the farm life and raising Boston Terriers and his chickens, turkeys and other
fowl. He loved watching his Kentucky Wildcats, the local high school sports
teams, and going to the rodeo. He enjoyed serving in the Moapa Ward and Stake
and being a home teacher. His great joy came from supporting and being with his
family. Survivors include his wife, Rachel of Moapa; one son and two daughters:
Joseph Bruce (Shelly) and their children, Kyra and Toby of Mesquite; Shari Lee
(Bob) Lyman and their son, Odin of Moapa; Joni Rae (Harry) Immerman and their
sons, Michael, Richard and Nicholas of Las Vegas; one brother and three sisters:
Charles (Carrie) of Wyandotte, Mich.; Beaulah Bentley of Jackson, Ohio; Lola
(Conley) Webb of Neon, Ky. and Ernestine (Kenneth) Gooch of Millstone, Ky. He
was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be
at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Moapa Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the
chapel. Interment will be in the Warm Springs Cemetery under the direction of
Moapa Valley Mortuary.

Frank Phillip Wright;
son of Mary Reynolds and Johny Phillips Wright, was born in Pike County, Kentucky April 27, 1895. He passed from this life quite
suddenly at the Whitesburg Hospital, March 30, 1968, being 90 years, 11 months and 3 days of age at his passing.
He has been a member of the Church of Christ for a large number of years.
Frank was married to America Potter January 31, 1918. She preceded him in death August 8, 1978. Frank was married to Euary (Burke) Stewart on
January 3, 1980. Frank was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Veterans of
Foreign Wars and the American Legion, he was a retired miner having worked in and
around the mines for about 49 years. He served on the Letcher County Board of Education for 16 years, also served awhile as a deputy sheriff of
Letcher Co. Frank is survived by his wife, Euary of Jackhorn; daughters: Beulah Bentley of Jackson Ohio; Mildred Sledge, of Witicha, Kansas;
Lola Webb of Fleming-Neon; Ernestine Gooch of Millstone, Kentucky; sons: Ralph of Hamilton, Ohio; Charlie of Wyandotte, Mich; Frank Phillips of
Destin, Florida; J.B. Wright of Moata, Nevada; brother, Chester McFall of Speight, Ky; sons Herbert and Firl preceded him in death, also surviving
are 33 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and the the following step children: Charlie Stewart of Fleming-Neon, Raymond of Deane, Clester of
McRoberts, Richard of Amherst, Ohio; John Wayne of Jackhorn, Allen Lane Stewart of Millstone, and step daughter, Sherry Johnson of McRoberts; a
large, large number of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
