Elijah Yonts started out just as his brother, Solomon Yonts as a Confederate soldier and then as a Union soldier in the 39th KY Infantry and died about age 33 years as a Union soldier in Louisa, Kentucky. Military service, Co D 13th Kentucky Cavalry and Co K 39th Kentucky Infantry. Elijah Yonts m. 5 Sept 1856 to Elizabeth Cook b 1829 VA. Child of Elijah Yonts and Elizabeth Cook;
