Josie Blair Whitaker, Age 92, of Miamisburg, OH, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2007. Josie was born in Carbon Glow, Kentucky, on January 16, 1915, to the late Grant B. and Sara F. (Hampton) Blair. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Regular Baptist Church in Blackey, KY.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Whitaker, Sr., (1971); her son Elmer Whitaker, Jr.; 6 brothers, Mander, Emmett, Byrd, Virgil, Lawrence, and Arnold Blair; and her sister, Doshie Littleton.
She is survived by 2 sons, Billy R. (Betty) Whitaker of Miamisburg, OH and Joe (Janice) Whitaker of Sebring, FL; her daughter, Cora Sue (Paul) Caudill of Miamisburg, OH; 9 Grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Myrtle Blair of Jeremiah, KY.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday February 20, 2007 at the Dalton Funeral Home, Corner of State Route 4 & Weaver Rd., Germantown, OH, where the Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Elwood Cornett and Pastor Jim T.
