Mrs. Nancy Ellen Keaton, 76, died at her home at Moon, Ky., Oct 211952 following an illness of two and one half years. Death wasattributed to cancer. Born July 24, 1876 in Morgan County, she was thedaughter of Littleborn and Frankie Holbrook. She was married May 26,1894 to M.L. Keaton, who preceded her in death October 4, 1919.Surviving are two sons, Noah Keaton, Moon, Ky., Claude Keaton, SouthShore, Ky., one daughter, Della Ferguson, Moon, Ky., two brothers,M.F. Holbrook, Moon, Ky., Henry Holbrook, Dingus, Ky., and one sister,Sallie Cox, Dingus, Ky. Funeral services were held at Open Fork Churchat 11:00 a.m., October 22 with the Revs. Tommy Bailey and ThurmanFerguson officiating. Margaret Seattie Fyffe
Seattie Skaggs, 73, died in Westville, Indiana, Sunday, January 3,1965, after an illness of several months. She was a formerresident ofKeaton, but had lived in Indiana for 20 years. Mrs.Skaggs was born inJohnson County, August 14, 1891, and was a daughterof John and MarthaSlusher Fyffe. She was affiliated with theEnterprise Baptist Church.Her husband, Paris Skaggs, died in 1950.Surviving are two sons,Hillman Skaggs of Paintsville and EdgarSkaggs, East Chicago, Indiana;and one granddaughter, Bonita MaeSkaggs of Paintsville. Funeralservices were held at 2:00 p.m.Wednesday, January 6, 1965, at the RedBush Enterprise Baptist Churchby Rev. Ellis Hamilton, Rev. Henry T.Hamilton and Rev. Hood Wallin.Burial was in the family cemetery atKeaton.
