578. William Henry Rutledge

Per Earlene Rutledge Garnitz: Henry also raised Thelma Jean Hopson (? on the last name) who was Kizzie's daughter by her first marriage. Her first husband left her when she was 6 months pregnant and she married Henry when Thelma was 8 - 10 months old.

Henry died from bone cancer.

Anita Darlene Haynes

Anita Darlene Haynes, 48, of Jonesville, Virginia, passed away Wednesday (December 16,
2009) at her residence.
She lived in Lee County, Virginia for most of her life and worked as a dental assistant.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and attended McConnells Chapel Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Johnston; her grandparents, Margaret and
Albert Rutledge and Alpha and Ed Johnston.
Surviving are:Her husband: Bobby Haynes Jr. of Jonesville, Virginia
Her mother: Ora Jean Johnston of Jonesville, Virginia
Daughter: Whitney Haynes Lawsonand husband, Josh of Dryden, Virginia
One grandson: Maverick VensonLee Lawsonof Dryden, Virginia
One sister: DonnaFay Lamb Dillon of Jonesville, Virginia
Several special cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Special friend: DonnaKinder Bates of Knoxville, Tennessee
.The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Arney-Mullins
Funeral Home in Jonesville, Virginia.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2;00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with
the Rev. Ed "Bud" Woodard and the Rev. Carol Wallen officiating.
Burial will follow in the McConnells Chapel Cemetery in Jonesville, Virginia.


Callie Jane "Ruth" Miner

She was the daughter of Milam and Mollie Begley Minor.


700. Patricia Lee Rutledge

She died at age 12 from appendicitis.

He died from a hear5t attack while mowing the grass in the back yard. He was buried in Alabama.


583. Edward Orbin "Bate" Rutledge

His mother, Margaret Rutledge, gave his children as Terry, Debra, Cecil, Donnie, Patsy, Darla, and Julie. The cemetery book lists additional children.

Roy Venson Johnston

He died from cancer, first in his brain and then later in his bones. He died within a year of being diagnosed.

She died from cancer.


588. Ruby Pearl Seabolt

After moving from Osaka, VA to Jonesboro, IN in 1952, she worked as a secretary and other office jobs. A few years after she was divorced, she moved to the Alexandria, VA area where she remarried. After her second husband's death, she lived with her mother in Jonesville, VA, where she died from a heart attack. Her favorite past time was sewing and she liked bluegrass and country music.

She had the patience of a Saint, and she always said "if you can't say something good about a person, don't say anything at all." And she lived by those words.


Samuel Nathaniel Markland

Served in the U.S. Army from 1937 to 1940. Was a coal miner until he moved to Indiana in 1952. He worked as a tool and die setter for General Motors Fisher Body Plant where he took early retirement because of black lung disease. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and music and played an organ. He died from lung cancer.


Joseph Thomas Berenik

He was killed by a blow on the head and the killer was never found. At the time, his wife, Ruby, was staying in Jonesville, VA with her ill father who died two days after Joe's funeral. Joe's parents, John and Tessie (Spaunik) Berenik, were Czechoslovakian immigrants who never learned to speak English. They lived in New York City before going to Caroline County, Virginia where they lived in 1930. John immigrated to the U.S. in 1911 and Tessie immigrated in 1913.


589. George Houston "Bud" Seabolt

He served in the U. S. Army in Europe during World War II, enlisting 6 Oct 1942 in Abingdon, VA. After his discharge he worked as a coal miner until retirement. He was depressed during the years following his daughter's (Patsy) death, and died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.


746. Patricia Ann "Patsy" Seabolt

She died from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
