OBITUARY OF CHARLIE STEWART
CHARLIE STEWART, son of Mary Mullins and Bob Stewart, was
born October 17, 1905, in Pike County, Ky., passed from this life
at the Jenkins Clinic Hospital, on January 22, 1977, being 71
years, 3 months, and 3 days of age at his passing.
Charlie has been in poor health for quite some time, he was a
member of the Church of Christ and a retired miner, having
worked in the mines for some 32 years, he was married to
Orelena Moore who preceded him in death about 7 years ago,
he was married to Rosa Caldwell at Clintwood, Va., December
1971.
He is survived by his present wife, Rosa of Jackhorn, 2
daughters: Orbena Young of Avawam, Ky., Julia Jean Johnson of
Brooking, Oregon; 4 sons: Jonhice Jr. Stewart of Cincinnati,
Ohio; Robert of Hazel Park, Mich., John Leon of Warren Mich.,
Jack of Hamilton, Ohio; another son Paul David preceded him in
death November 19, 1976.
Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren,
sisters: Myrtle Fleming, Louisville, Ky., Bessie Fleming,
Jackhorn, Nannie Fleming, Thornton, Minnie Holbrook, Jackhorn,
brothers: Rush Hall, Dunham, Clinton Stewart, Jenkins, George
Stewart, of Norton, Va., Dock Stewart of Florida, Daniel Stewart
of Virgie, Ky., Henry Stewart of Ohio, Jack Stewart of Maxie,
Va., and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn his
passing
Funeral Services For Charlie Stewart Was held at the Hemphill
Church of Christ on Tuesday, January 25, 1977 at 11:00 A. M.
Pallbearers: Friends and Neighbors. Minister: Bro. Bennie
Blankenship. Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery, Walker
Town Section of Hazard, Kentucky. Banks Funeral Home of
Neon, Kentucky in charge of Funeral Arrangements.
OBITUARY OF ARLENA (MOORE) STEWART
ARLENA STEWART, daughter of Mandy Cook and John Moore
was born in Pike Co., Ky., December 12, 1909, passed from this
life at the Jenkins Clinic Hospital, Jenkins, Ky., Sunday, Sept.
27, 1970, being 60 years 9 months and 20 days of age at her
passing.
She was a member of the Hemphill Church of Christ. Arlena is
survived by her Husband, Charlie Stewart of Jackhorn, Ky. and
the following children: Junior Stewart of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jack
Stewart of Fairfax, Ohio, Silas Stewart of Warren, Michigan, Paul
Stewart of Clawson, Michigan, Arlena Campbell of Hazard, Ky.
and Jean Johnson of New Lexington, Ohio. 23 Grandchildren and
3 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services For ARLENA STEWART Was Held at the
Hemphill Church of Christ, Jackhorn, Kentucky on Tuesday,
Sept. 29, 1970 At 2:00 P.M. E.S.T. Pallbearers: Friends and
Neighbors. Minister: Bro. Bennie Blankenship. Burial in Riverside
Cemetery, Walkertown Section of Hazard. Banks Funeral Home
of Neon, Ky. in charge of Funeral arrangements.
