Helen Elaine Stanley Vanover
Helen Elaine Vanover, age 91, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022, at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born on July 11, 1931 to her parents the late Kenneth Lawrence Stanley and Earthlee Davis Stanley. She was the wife of the late Creed Vanover, a homemaker, and a member of the Dorton United Methodist Church.

Along with her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Tom, and Jerry Stanley.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Lawana (Billy) Jones, Susan (Monty) Mullins, one son, Kenneth Lawrence (Telessa) Vanover, one grandson, Michael Wright, six granddaughters, Tammy Barzi, Vicki Waltman, Sarah White, Brooke Vanover, Hannah Mullins, Olivia Mullins, four great grandchildren, Noah, Ron, Ellie, and Zayvier, and a host of loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.

The funeral will be Thursday August 4, 2022 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Leonard Lowery and Johnny Vanover officiating.

Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Dorton United Methodist Church.
