Obituary of Richard Bentley
(December 21, 1941 - March 11, 2009)
Richard Bentley age 67 passed away Wednesday, March 11th, 2009 at his home in Grethel, Ky. Richard was born on Dec. 21st, 1941 to his parents the late Orville Bentley and Hazel Newsome Bentley. He was the husband of Avonell Akers Bentley and a retired employee for Motor Wheel Corp. Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by two sons, Ritchie Dean Bentley and Jimmy Dwayne Bentley, one brother, Boto Bentley, and one sister, Faye Livergood. Along with his wife, Richard is survived by one son, Dougie Bentley of Prestonsburg, one sister, Patty Bentley of Wayne, Mi., two grandchildren, Seth Emmit and Dalton Douglas, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 2p.m. at the Zion Old Regular Baptist Church at Grethel. The funeral will be Saturday 3-14-2009 at 1p.m. at the Zion Old Regular Baptist Church with Edgar Howell and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Akers Cemetery at Grethel.
