Patricia May Johnson Hughes
(October 22, 1951 - April 21, 2010)
Patricia May Johnson Hughes of Pikeville, KY passed away Wednesday April 21,
2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born in Letcher County, KY on
October 22, 1951 to the late Ellis Johnson and Sabrina Craft Johnson. Patricia
was a homemaker and member of the Trinity Harvest Church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Matthew Hughes and one daughter, Sabrina
Jane Hughes. Patricia was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
She leaves behind two sons, Timothy Joel Hughes of Dickson, TN and Chadwick
Hughes of Pikeville, KY. She's also survived by four sisters, Annette Potter of
Elsmere, KY, Jeanette Napier of St. Augustine, FL, Sarah Burns of Huntindon, TN,
and Margaret Seals of Senatobia, MS, one brother, Billy Johnson of Fleming Neon,
KY, three grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, friends, and
family. Patricia leaves behind a companion who meant so much to her, Rondle
Bowens.
Visitation will begin after 6 PM Friday, April 23 at the Lucas and Son Funeral
Home. Special services will be held at 7 PM. Funeral services will be at the
funeral home on Saturday at 1 PM with Pastor Richard Holmes officiating. Burial
will follow at Davidson Memorial Cemtery.
Sabrina Johnson, 90, of Neon, died May 25, 2007 at her home. She
was a lifelong resident of Letcher County. Mrs. Johnson attended various
churches in the area, and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Johnson was the
widow of Ellis Johnson. She was a daughter of the late William Marion Craft and
Jane Collier Craft. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Don Johnson and
Elllis Johnson, Jr.; two grandchildren, Matthew Hughes and Sabrina Hughes; a
great-grandchild, Kelly Jones; a sister, Ettie Craft; and three brothers, Lester
Craft, Lonnie Craft and Sam Collier. She is survived by six daughters, Jonell
Maggard, of Neon, Jeanette Napier, of St. Augustine, Fla., Annette Potter, of
Elsmere, Margaret Seals, of Senatobia, Miss., Sara Burns, of Huntingdon, Tenn.,
and Patricia Bowens, of Pikeville, KY; a son, Billy Johnson, of Neon, KY;
sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; five
great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bobbie Wright, of Pennsylvania and Babe
Rothgeb, of Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services were held May 29, 2007 at Carty
Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine, KY. Posted
