Charlie Combs, age 79, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Knott County, Kentucky, died on Sunday, September 26, 2004, at Sayre Christian Village, Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on March 19, 1925, in Knott County, Kentucky, the son of Wood Combs and Annie Messer Combs.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Combs and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, September 28, at 1: 00 p.m., at Hindman Funeral Services Chapel, Hindman, Kentucky, with Mike Stewart and Debbie Bailey officiating. Burial followed in Combs Family Cemetery, Emmalena, Kentucky, under the direction of Hindman Funeral Services
