Obituary of Alma Frazier Cornett June 21, 2008 - Alma Cornett, 93, of Whitesburg passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home. Alma was the daughter of the late George and Polly Ann Frazier. Alma was the widow of I.D. Cornett. Surviving are 1 son: Jack Cornett of Whitesburg; 2 daughters: Norma Jean Dalton of Louisville and Wanda Back of Whitesburg; 1 sister: Ruby Cook of Alabama; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the R.B. Caudill Cemetery at Whitco, Kentucky

Cornett Dies: Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 6, (1971) for I. D. Cornett, who died at his home in Whitesburg on Sunday, October 3, 1971. He was the son of the late John H. and Mollie Dixon Cornett, and was born at Dry Fork, Ky. He was 61 years old. He is survived by his wife Alma Frazier Cornett and three daughters, Norma Jean Dalton, Louisville, KY.; Emma Adams and Wanda Back, both of Whitesburg, Ky.; and one son, Jack D. Cornett, U.S. Army, Fort Lewis, Washington. Also surviving are four brothers, Blaine Cornett, Whitesburg, Ky.; Roy Cornett, Hallie Ky.; Vernon Cornett, Whitesburg, Ky.; and Gay Cornett, Partridge, Ky.; and one sister, Eunice Morrison, Carcassonne, Ky.
Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Officiating ministers at the Blair Funeral Home Chapel were Elders I. D. Back, Agnan Back and Crit Eldridge. Active pallbearers were Ronnie G Cornett, Johnnie B. Cornett, Gary Cornett, Larry Cornett, Bob Lewis and Chad Back. Honorary pallbearers were Glen Brown and W. L. Stallard, Jr. Burial was in the family plot of the R. B. Caudill Cemetery at Whitco, Letcher County, Kentucky. Blair Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
