Death of Orell DayFrom Appendicitis

Our hearts go out in deepest sympathies to Mr. and Mrs. Joe I Day, of our city on account of the loss of their twelve year old son, Orell. He was loved and admired by all who knew him. He was one of the pets of the home, his friends and his playmates in school. A few days before his death while in school he was taken ill and when examined by physicians he was pronounced to be suffering with appenicitis. He was rushed to Dr. Wright's hospital at Seco where an operation was performed Friday night. There was practically no hopes held out for his recovery. So early Saturday morning little Orell folded his hands, bade adieu to his father and mother and relatives and friends and went bravely into the gloryland. His twin brother Oramus is left alone. He leaves a precious father and mother, some brothers and sisters to weep over his absence but heaven is now brighter, and some of these days we shall see him with all our loved ones gone on before. How comforting is the thought that God is able to take unto Himself our loved ones and care for them when we ourselves cannot? While we mourn and stumble in darkness let the anthems ring with His glory. The remains were tenderly taken to the family graveyard on Big Cowan Sunday and in the presence of many friends and relatives were laid away to await the second coming of the King in His glory.
