Obituary - Lonnie Gibson Frazier:
Funeral services for Lonnie Gibson Frazier, 80, were held August 3, 2007 at the
Little Colley Baptist Church at Isom, KY. Burial was in the Glenn Frazier family
cemetery at Premium, KY. Born in Knott County, she was a daughter of the late
Mallie and Letisha "Tishie" Hammonds Gibson. She was married to the late Glenn
Frazier, who died April 21, 2007. Mrs. Frazier was a member of the Letcher
County Historical Society and her interest in genealogy led her to do extensive
research into her family's history. She also assisted many others in tracing
their ancestral roots. She had attended Hindman Settlement School, and was a
member of the Little Colley Regular Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters,
Gwen Frazier Perkins and husband Bill, Knoxville, Tenn., and Cathy June Frazier,
Whitesburg; four sons, Sonny Frazier and wife Mahala, Whitesburg; Gaither
Frazier and wife Debbie, Big Stone Gap, Va.; Tracy Frazier and wife Jessica,
Ashland; and Michael Frazier, Dallas, Tex.; nine grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren; three sisters, Goldie O'Neal and husband Chet,
Connersville, Ind.; Sue Ellen Davidson and husband Russ, Louisville; and Sherry
Gibson, Litt Carr, KY; two brothers, Carroll Gibson and wife Kay, Cambridge
City, Ind., and George Gibson and wife Liz, St. Cloud, Fla.; a sister-in-law,
June Frazier Breeding, Isom, KY; and a friend, Hubert Hall, Sandlick, KY.
