McKinney, Zella Booher. CRUMPLER — Zella Booher McKinney, 70, of HC 76, Box 875 in Crumpler died Saturday, July 4, 2009, at her residence. Born December 4, 1938 in Beeson she was the daughter of the late Samuel B. and Eva Dovie Meade Booher. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus in Matoaka. Zella was a loving and family oriented person that deeply loved her family and especially enjoyed the youngsters. In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert Lee McKinney; one brother; two sisters; four half sisters; and one half brother preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara J. Mullins and husband Ronnie of Beartown and Jenny L. Mitchem and husband Daniel of Crumpler; one son, Robert W. McKinney and wife Laura of Glenwood Park; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Norma Akers of Lashmeet, Jane Steffey and husband Wilbur of Wise, Va., and Annie Duncan and husband Daniel of Danville, Va.; and one brother, Dewey Booher of Beeson. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Marvin McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at the Mitchell-McKinney Cemetery in Basin. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 (today).
