Iris Sue Fleming, 65, Pekin, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Born August 15, 1948, in Jackhorn, Ky., she was the daughter of Hassel and Hattie Slone Johnson. She was a retired physical therapy assistant for Floyd Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Pekin Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband: Leroy Fleming. They were married August 3, 1963. She is also survived by two sons: Aaron Fleming (Stacey) of Pekin and Ashley Ryan (Ashley Kim) Fleming of Sellersburg, three daughters: Lori Soydemir (Kemal) and Tylene Jarrells, both of Pekin and Carol Wainscott (Kenneth) of Salem, a brother: Johnny Johnson of Jackhorn, Ky., 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Michael Johnson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Pekin. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
