Obituary: Ernest E Johnson 22 Jul 1940 - 5 Aug 2018
Ernest E. Johnson, Sr., "Ernie," age 78, and a 60-year resident of Lorain, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.Ernie was born July 22, 1940, in Jackhorn, Kentucky, to the late Morgan and Baby Johnson.He was retired from the Ford Motor Company, Lorain Assembly, where he was an inspector. Ernie had been employed there for 34 years, retiring in 1994.He enjoyed hunting and fishing, cooking, and most of all, spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty Jo (nee Smith) Johnson; daughters, Regina (Manuel) Miranda, of Lorain, Kimberly (Phillip) Wallencheck, of Lorain, Susan (Tommy) Richards, of Elyria; son, Ernie (Sheri) Johnson, of Huron; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Connie Johnson, of Hazard, Kentucky and Douglas Johnson, of Vermilion; and his sister, Irene Reckart, of Kingwood, West Virginia. In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.There will be a memorial service 11 a.m., Thursday, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2340 Crehore Street, Lorain.Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, Lorain, entrusted with arrangements.Published in The Morning Journal on Aug. 7, 2018
