Obituary of Golda Elaine Meadows Klinger

Golda Elaine Klinger, 81, Logan, died Saturday, Jan. 29 (2000) at her residence following an extended illness. Born March 7, 1918, Draffin, Ky., daughter of the late John and Polly Senter Meadows, she was married to Robert Lee Klinger, who survives. A homemaker, she was a former employee of H.C. Godman Shoe Company in Logan. She was a member of VFW, Eagles and Moose auxiliaries. Also surviving are two sons, Gary L. (Inge) Sater of Rockbridge and Albert W. Klinger of Logan; a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Carol J.) Shelton of Logan; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Kathryn) Mathias of Chamblee, Ga., Mrs. Bob (Betty) Cottrill of Saint Marys, W.Va., and Gladys Conrad of Logan; three brothers, George (Donna) Meadows of Logan, Jack (Pat) Meadows of Logan and James (Delores) Meadows of Logan; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Frank Meadows. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roberts Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert E. Dauber officiating. Burial will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good Hope Township, Rockbridge. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 today at the funeral home.
