Donna Sue Bentley Pitts, 63 years of age, of Nancy, Kentucky, departed this life on Monday, August 3rd, 2009 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. She was born on June 17th, 1946 in Garrett, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Norman Bentley and Mable Moore Bentley. She was a manager for S Mart Store and of the Old Regular Baptist faith. She enjoyed researching family trees, building computers, and going to church. She was survived by her loving husband of 42 years, "Kayo" Lacy Pitts of Nancy, Kentucky; one son, Lacy Brian Pitts of Nancy, Kentucky; one daughter, Serena (and Zac) Gordon of Lexington, Kentucky; three brothers, Phillip (and Betty) Bentley of Vest, Kentucky, Ricky Bentley of Garrett, Kentucky, and Randy (and Sandy) Bentley of Garrett, Kentucky; one sister, Saundra Conley of Martin, Kentucky; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Mable Bentley; and one brother, Franklin Bentley. Visitations were held on Friday, August 7th, 2009 after 5:00 p.m. at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 8th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Williams officiating. Burial followed in the Pottershop Cemetery in Jabez, Kentucky.
